ACTFL Convention Panel: ADVOCATING FOR GERMAN VIA HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP: AN OPEN FORUM

Sun, 11/22: 8:00 AM  – 9:00 AM

Session
San Diego Convention Center
Room: Room 28E
In an open forum officers of the National German Honor Society will introduce the topic of advocacy for German and call upon chapter advisors in the audience to share their experiences with recruiting and retaining students via an active Delta Phi Alpha chapter. They will further explain how active chapters offer recognition to outstanding German students and provide means for them to engage in meaningful cultural programs on their campuses. Audience members who have not yet established an honor society chapter on their campuses will ask questions about starting one and about the various grants and scholarships offered by Delta Phi Alpha. This give and take format should allow for both lively and informative discussion.
